Hi,
I use a FEA code under HP-UX 11.00. The workstation has 2GB RAM.
I have requested 720MB of memory for the calculating code; but when
running there is error:
-----------------------------------
...
Maximum available workspace 134213895 words ( 1074 MBytes)
User requested workspace 90000000 words ( 720 MBytes)
Memory allocation / DB 45000000 / 45000000 words
Release : 9.1-05 - Date : 5-SEP-2002
Graphic driver used: X-Window
%%%E00-VXGTMM: cannot get 360000016 bytes of memory.vxgtmm : malloc: Not
enough space
%%3.785879E-27000-VXGTMM: cannot get 1 bytes of memory. %%%ERROR-1501%%%
(.???)
It is impossible to save data in the data base: insufficiant memory
space.
Implantation BACON : LSBDSA = 90000000
---------- end of error ------------
I dont know which Kernel parameter I have to modify yet.
There is the output of "ulimit -a":
> ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) 0
data seg size (kbytes, -d) 1048576
file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited

stack size (kbytes, -s) 81920
cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes (-u) 257
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited
There are some parameters of current kernel:
--------------------------------
maxdsiz = 1073741824
maxdsiz_64bit = 1073741824
maxssiz = 83886080
maxssiz_64bit = 83886080
maxtsiz = 1073741824
maxtsiz_64bit = 1073741824
maxuprc = 256
shmmax = 631242752

Have you any ideas for help me please!
Thank you very much and have a nice weekend,
