united HP-UX experts,
is there any way to translate the output of 'getconf CPU_CHIP_TYPE' into
something more meaningful (for us humans, anyway) ?.
I already have searched the archive (of this list) and Instant Information
(the HP CD-ROM) but have not found all that much.
Using '/usr/sam/lib/mo/sched.models' and other data i compiled this
little table (systems all running 11i) :
system PA-RISC MHz res. CPU
B1000 2.0 300 549 PA8500
B180L 1.1 180 504 PA7300 ?
A400-44 2.0 440 555 PA8500
R380 2.0 180 459 PA8000
J5000 2.0 440 549 PA8500
B2000 2.0 400 554 PA8500
The 'res.' column is the output of 'getconf CPU_CHIP_TYPE'.
Anyone have any insights ?.
t.i.a.,
