Some Background
L class running 11.11 with 2 processors.
There are three oracle instances running on the server.
Problem.
There are always a lot of processes running on the server and memory utilization is always high. more than 92 %. Now the thing is that user go on running processes they want. And at last evryone is stuck up-slow response and thrashing starts.
What I am planning do is
1. disable swapmem_on so memory seen by processes will be low
2. tune maxuproc and nproc - so that less memory is given for processes.
3. ninode - so that more memory is avaible. (for user processes)
Request you all to let me know what else can I do? What kernel para. tuning?
