Hello admins:
I have an HP B2000 running HP-UX 11.0 with the Sep 2002 Quality Pack
applied.
I had enabled a file system swap of a GB on one of the filesystems (/sr)
which is also mounted on /sr
The /etc/fstab entry is
/dev/vg01/lvol4 /sr vxfs delaylog 0 2
After changing a kernel parameter (dbc_min_pct/dbc_max_pct),
and rebooting, this filesystem wouldn't mount.
(I have previously rebooted this configuration fine).
I couldn't run fsck until I commented the swapfs type for /dev/vg01/lvol4
After doing so:
Running
fsck -F vxfs /dev/vg01/lvol4
gives me:
vxfs fsck: file system had I/O error(s) on meta-data
log replay in progress
full file system check required, exiting ...
Running
fsck -F vxfs -o full /dev/vg01/lvol4
gives me:
vxfs fsck: file system had I/O error(s) on meta-data
log replay in progress
pass 0 - checking structural files
pass 1 - checking inode sanity and blocks
vxfs fsck: fsck read failure bno = 2097652, off = 0, len = 8192
Doing
fsck -F vxfs -o full,nolog /dev/vg01/lvol4
gives the same error.
Is the data on /sr gone ? Is there anyway to salvage whatever I can on /sr ?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
Subu
