[HPADM] mt command

I've got a tape jukebox with ten drives. When I load a tape into a drive
and use "mt -f /dev/rmt/0n status" I get either:

"no tape loaded or drive offline"

OR

"HP Ultrium tape drive:
   sense key(0x0)= No Additional Sense residual= 0 retries= 0
   file no= 2 block no= 0"

My question is, Why doesn't it just say "Tape is in drive"? Why all the
gibblygarp? Now I'll admit this is a Sun box. But this question has very
little with Sun and more to do with the "mt" command. So I hope you'll
help.

My second question is, Why has this list listed my home ISP provider as a
spammer? And thusly I cannot post to this list from home. It sucks.
