Thank you to Mike White, Jeff Cleverley, and Tom Leber who responded.
Mike responded that they have been using EMTEC and IMATION without any
issues.
Jeff suggested upgrading the firmware which we did he also suggested to
check the L cable the connects that connects to the Fibre/SCSI interface
which we will do.
Tom suggested disabling EMS dm_stape monitoring which we have done.
We will continue to push HP for a solution. I will post again when we
eventually get a root cause. I really wanted to get a verification that the
EMTEC tapes were not the issue.

We have 2 HP 6/60 LTO Tape Libraries that we use for backups using Omniback
3.5 running on a N class (11.00). We have been experiencing I/O errors
lately. HP is questioning the tapes we are using. We are using EMTEC LTO
Ultrium Tapes (Ultrium 1). Does anyone have any experience using these
tapes? Thank you in advance and I will summarize.
