[HPADM] scripting a loop to ping multiple hosts

I am trying to set up a loop of some sort to ping a list pre-defined node names, and simply return the output of them all.

For example I want to ping x, y, z.
If x id alive, I want to return the node name x and a message that x is alive.

If x is dead, I want to return a message that x is unreachable.

I am having problems putting this into a loop.... lol
