By the way, the shell parameter HOME is set to my home directory.

Subject: [HPADM] displaycd[2]: @: parameter not set ?

When ever I issue the 'cd' command alone to return to my home directory, I
get the following error message:
"displaycd[2]: @: parameter not set"

What is happening here and how do I fix it.
I am using ksh as my shell.
Probably something dumb I did while configuring this system because it used
to work.
