[HPADM] weird top memory results

Guys,

I've been collecting some stats on some of my machines now and have
found something really strange on one of them. The memory number from
the top command keep changing. I know the number in the brackets is
supposed to changed (being the ammount used) but the number before the
brackets is the amount that is actually there and should not change.

one output:

Memory: 113504K (36332K) real, 132300K (53360K) virtual, 247588K
........

Another output:

Memory: 112696K (41376K) real, 131164K (59112K) virtual, 237008K
........

This can't be right. What's going on here?

Also, the process:
rroot 1729 root 235 20 3320K 1388K run 16608:12 69.97 69.84
perflbd

is taking ub between 65% and 75% of the cpu. I assume it's a glance
process but why is it taking up so much?
Could these be related?

TIA
Ronelle van Niekerk
