[HPADM] Secure Web Console problem
Hi.
I have some problems connecting a secure web console to the external
network through a NAT translation of a Cisco router.
With the previous Internet provider, we choosed to leave to the Web
Console an external IP address, through the creation of a mini-subnet of
just two IP addresses, the first given to the (internal) network
interface of the router and the second to the web console. This two
interfaces were the only two leaved out of the translation performed by
the NAT of the router. This turnaround was working until the last change
of "provider": it seemed to me the only solution, because the
web console refused to work with the NAT translation - probably, there is
some information about the net addressing inside the Java applets used in
the console.
With the new "provider", the situation changes: they don't want
to create the mini-subnet with just the two IP addresses, letting all of
the network traffic going from/to the internal to/from the external
network interface of the router pass through the NAT
translation.
Anyone has already encountered this problem ? And perhaps solved it
?
