Dear Admins,
i am having a senior moment, so please be gentle. i need to pass a
value to sed for replacement, like this:
newvalue=`somecommandoutput`
sed -e 's/oldvalue/$newalue/'|process-further
i need the sed to see the contents of $newvalue, not the "$newvalue"
varbatim. how do i do that? tia, julius
