from our experiences, I wouldn't put anything but 2-6228's in a pSeries
box...

Subject: LPAR - 3rd party cards

Looked through old messages and can't find exactly what I am looking
for.

BACKGROUND
----------
We are looking to connect our first LPAR'd p650 to our SAN
(Brocade/StorageTek) via either Cambex or 6228's.

QUESTION
--------
Is there any risk in using non-IBM HBA's in an LPAR'd system? Basicly
if the HBA fails will will the slot go down or is there a chance for a
more disruptive failure?

Thanks-
Jennifer
