Hi *,
I find the problem. It was an entrie in the blv.
I started the migration already once without success. So I go back (change
bootpresponse to disk and boot the node, was o.k. and on AIX 4.3.3), but
the following command r blv says it is on level 5.2:
/usr/lpp/bosinst/blvset -d /dev/hdisk0 -g level
So I change this with the same command but with the option -p to 4.3
Now I start the migration again and It doesn't stop with c48
Best regards,
Frank Mueller

The fastest way to figure out what the problem is, is via the s1term: see
what it's prompting for. Otherwise you just end up running lots of
nodeconds until you finally hit on the problem.
However...
Did you re-set the bootlist after you unmirrored rootvg? What disks was
hd5
on?
Generally, IBM advice using the hardware address for rootvg disks in the
SDR. You might try changing it to use these, just in case.
