The fastest way to figure out what the problem is, is via the s1term: see
what it's prompting for. Otherwise you just end up running lots of
nodeconds until you finally hit on the problem.

However...
Did you re-set the bootlist after you unmirrored rootvg? What disks was hd5
on?

Generally, IBM advice using the hardware address for rootvg disks in the
SDR. You might try changing it to use these, just in case.
