How to change the terminal settings (emulation) when login throug h hyper terminal to AIX Server

Hai all,

When we connect to AIX server, through hyper term from a windows pc through
dial up,
the emulation is not coming properly, so the application related screens are
not
displayed properly,

But when we do telnet to aix server, we are receiving the application
screens
properly. the terminal emulation in this case is vt420, when connected
through smart term.

Please advice.
