PCI-X Ethernet card from LPAR to SP?

I have a 10/100/1000 Base-TX PCI-X adapter card in a D20 drawer allocated to one of my LPARs. I may have a need to temporarily move this card to an SP silver wide node. Is that at all possible? I believe that some PCI-X adapters can and will run on a regular PCI slot, but not sure if my ethernet adapter will. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me please?
