I understand what you are saying but the problem appears to be bigger
than just the entries or that particular process it self. It seems as
though none of the entries are executing. I will give it a shot
though...

You could send the stderr and stdout to an outfile, to get clues as to
why its not starting.

I was wondering...after upgrading to AIX 5.1 has anyone had any issues
with inittab entries executing? We recently upgraded the server to AIX
5.1 ML05 and ever since then inittab does not appear to be able to start
our dsmc sched process, load kernel extensions for oracle, etc. The
system boots up fine and all the entries in inittab meet syntax
requirements. Any ideas?
