A (very) basic question, sorry

Hi,

I must admit, I feel rather stupid for asking this, but....

I have two RS/6000s in my keeping and I am writing some simple howtos
about our systems. For all the other UNIXes I have found docs that
describe how to boot up in single user mode, and I understand that this
is called 'service mode' in AIX. But all my docs say 'turn the key to
*Service*' - which doesn't help a lot since my machines don't have a key
(that I can see, at least). The HW is 'IBM eServer pSeries 610 Model
6C1' - it even looks like the drawing in one of the manuals.

So, how do I do this? I know I can boot from the installation CD, but I
would like to keep it locked away - and also, I can't imagine that it
isn't possible, even simple, to do it without.

/jan
