this is the aix read buffer size and I believe its fixed at 64 for aix.
Windows/Sun have a much larger read buffer set at 512 and 128 respectively

What is the max io size for AIX 5.2? Oracle documentation says to set
db_file_multiblock_read_count to OS max io size / db_block_size but I
can't
find what max io size is.
