I like the lpar Config. The 600 series might suite you. One box you can cut up into several boxes of your liking.

Subject: New Hardware evaluation

We currently have 3 H80 boxes,
4 cpu's with 4G per machine used for
a production, data warehouse , and test
database system ( sybase ). It uses 2104 raid for disk.

I have been asked to evaluate
hardware for a new system . There are no performance
problems with the current system , but anticipate a
doubling of workload within the next year - year-and-a-half.
The databases on each system. There is ~110G on each system,
which tend to be ~30% busy during business hours.

Can someone point me to some urls for new aix hardware ?
I am somewhat out of touch with new offerings,

Thx,
