The error message is not "id: 0711-781", but "ld: 0711-781". It is
coming from the ld command which links object files. You have to use the
bigtoc option (-bbigtoc) with the ld command to fix the problem. Check
the man pages for the ld command for extra details.

I am trying to install Pine4.58 on aix 4.3.1.0. When I run ./build a41

compile the source code, I got an error message as following:

We have gcc-2.95.3 running.
If someone knows how to fix this TOC probelm, please help me.
