AIX 5.2 migration defaults to 32 bit. If you have a 64 bit processor, you may
change to 64 bit. If you are fresh installing, you can choose 64 bit straight
up. If you are new installing, and select 64 bit, you can also choose to have
the OS installed with jfs2 enabled. Otherwise, your OS will be installed with
JFS only.

If you are using an H50, you can only run in 32 bit mode since it is not a 64
bit processor. Certain cards are 32 bit only - like the SSA Enhanced RAID
adapter. Works fine on aix5.2 in 32 bit mode. Does not configure in 64 bit
mode.

I have a 7026-H50 (32bit processor) with AIX 5.2 installed (Migration
process).
No Problem.

All,

Can you install AIX v5.2 in 32-bit mode or is the OS 64-bit only?

Is this different than v5.1?
