I just created a AIX 5.2 system with 2 Oracle databases. The total sga is
about 1.5 gig but the system has 8gig of real memory. Prevously on AIX 4.33
and Oracle 8.1.7 I had no paging with 3 gigs of SGA. Now I am using around
2 gig of my paging space. I have tried vmtune -P 40 like I used on AIX 4.3
but AIX 5.2 won't let me set lower than 80. There is nothing else running
on this server, has anyone seen this or have any ideas what I am missing?
I see that AIX 5.2 has a new maintenance package (5.2.0.2) which I will
try.
