Hi All,

I am looking into a problem another SA is having at our site with Fortran
for AIX. I thought I would ask this question as I look into the problem.
He is trying to load IBM XL Fortran V6 R1 on a H50 and p170 both running
AIX 5.1... He is getting the following:

MISSING REQUISITES: The following file sets are required by one or more
of the selected file sets listed above. They are not currently installed
and could not be found on the installation media.

    bos.loc.iso.ja_JP 4.1.0.0 # Base Level Fileset
    bos.rte v=4, r<3 # Base Level Fileset
    cobol.cmp 1.1.0.0 # Base Level Fileset
     pli.base 1.1.0.0 # Base Level Fileset
    xlC.C 3.1.1.0 # Base Level Fileset
    xlhpf.cmp 1.1.0.0 # Base Level Fileset

I am going to load the 5.1 CD's and look to see if these are even there.
As I look at the Fortran CD's it does say for AIX Version 4.

Does anyone know if this version of fortran even supposed to work on AIX
5L.

Thanks in advance
John
