There used to be an option to "Shrink Filesystems" when restoring a mksysb.
Specifically, we advised a recent poster on the AIX-L list to do just that.
I wanted to, but could not find the option under 5.1

What menu option? If you take a mksysb with a customised /image.data you
don't need to do anything else.
