local NIS maps on AIX 5.1

Hi,
I've ended up in front of an 43P Model 140
with AIX 5.1 oslevel 5100-02.

I need to configure this machine to accept local
NIS maps for automounter (i.e. /etc/auto_master).
The NIS-master is running Solaris and will mount
Solaris specific environment on e.g. /opt /usr/local
unless I can get the AIX machine to accept local configuration.

Is there anyone who could help me?
