In AIX 5 you can assign a higher cost to a route to avoid round robin, and
then is will be used if the lower cost route fails.

AIX 5 supports having configured several default Gateways which are used in
an round robin scheme but I think this is only useful in very special
situations. Normally you have 1 default gateway (for destination 0.0.0.0)
and you can add other routes to defined networks or hosts.
