repquota

Hello,

We just started using quotas on AIX. (We have been using them on Solaris
and HP-UX for a long time.)

We have two issues with "repquota" that we hope someone might have
solutions:

1) If we run "repquota -a -v" we get something like this:

> /usr/sbin/repquota -a -v
*** Report for user quotas on /hpc/data-4 (/dev/nfs4lv00)
                        Block limits File limits
User used soft hard grace used soft hard grace
root -- 628 0 0 6 0 0
sys -- 4 0 0 1 0 0
Chris -- 4 0 0 1 0 0
Tom -- 5284 0 0 27 0 0
Bill -- 21040 0 0 37 0 0
Karen -- 538824 0 0 179 0 0
LarryB -- 23145604000000050000000 7326 0 0
Joanne -- 81549961000000015000000 8734 0 0
Mike -- 24 0 0 1 0 0
William --57711076100000000125000000 27465 0 0
Ted -- 328641000000015000000 234 0 0
JackT --86153092110000000125000000 49104 0 0

We use the output of this command to generate email warnings to the users
that they are near or over their quotas. In Solaris, a space was placed
between the "used", "soft" and "hard" block limits. How does one tell from
this AIX repquota what William and JackT are using?

2)The other complaint is that in Solaris disk quota, you placed quota
settings per user directory and a repquota showed only those. In AIX's,
you see a line for any and all user ids that own any file in any
subdirectory in the filesystem. (In this case "/hpc/data-4"). You can see
lines for "root" and "sys", as well as "Chris", "Tom", "Mike", etc. who do
not have quotas set. I think we can get around this one, but it is
different.

Any thoughts or helpful scripts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
