Hi-

Anyone know why "chdev -l sys0 -a iostat=true" touches the crontab file (at least at AIX 4330-ML10)?
We have a problem where the crontab file for root sometimes disappears when this chdev command is run.

Here's an example showing the chdev effect on root's crontab. The size of the file doesn't change- just the date:

root@host:/var/spool/cron/crontabs:>ls -la root
-rw------- 1 root cron 3194 Aug 06 10:28 root

root@host:/var/spool/cron/crontabs:>chdev -l sys0 -a iostat=true
sys0 changed

root@host:/var/spool/cron/crontabs:>r ls
ls -la root
-rw------- 1 root cron 3194 Aug 06 11:45 root

thanks,
-pablo
