Bill,
I think your problem was that you were missing the
base IMNSearch fileset for 5.2, so, to AIX, you didn't
have a complete install. I have no idea why IBM
considers IMNSearch a required part of the OS, but I
think that was the issue.

Last week, I (think) I posted an "oslevel -r" problem. I resolved it, but
now I want to bounce the idea off ya'all.
The problem started when a DB2 install, installed IMNSearch filesets at an
earlier level then the ML of the box as a whole. I applied the versions
for AIX 5.2 and the problem went away.
So my question is: should an "oslevel -r" be thrown off by filesets outside
of the box ML or not ?
