I don't think you can change it. I've understand it to be unique
identifier. In the past when I replaced a card I have had to redefine the
zoning on the brocade switch to acknowledge the new device.

Is it possible to "change" (mask) the world wide name
on an HBA? I'm talking about something similar in
concept to how you can impose a "fake" MAC address on
certain Ethernet cards.
