Stephen,

Korn Shell has the variable TMOUT, which is measured in seconds (i.e.
TMOUT=60 will log a user off after 1 min of inactivity)

The only problem with this is that it can be worked around by a
knowledgable enough user exporting his TMOUT variable to infinity, or 10
years, etc.
