Mail Message Max Size

Does anyone know how to increase the size of a mail message?

In a korn shell script I am using mailx -s "subject" user@domain <
logfile.log.
The problem is that the mail message is being truncated to 115774
bytes. I increased the MaxMessageSize in sendmail.cf, restarted
sendmail and still the same problem. Any hints or clues? OR maybe its
not AIX but the Groupwise mail server.
