I seems that is not compressing the data into the filesystem:

root # df -k /syback
Filesystem 1024-blocks Free %Used Iused %Iused Mounted on
/dev/lv04 4915200 5620 100% 67 1% /syback

I used to put almost 8GB here, now after the upgrade I only could put 5GB:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 sybase sybase 1439174656 Jun 14 19:13 dbdump.retail_db.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 sybase sybase 1131884544 Jun 14 19:13 dbdump.retail_db.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 sybase sybase 971849728 Jun 14 19:13 dbdump.retail_db.3
-rwxr-xr-x 1 sybase sybase 1360994304 Jun 14 19:12 dbdump.retail_db.4

Any ideas?

Regards,
Gustavo.-

Subject: Compressed filesystems in 5.1

Hello Everyone:
I have a compressed filesystem where I dump my
Sybase databases.
After I've upgraded from 4.3 to 5.1 I got the "UNABLE TO ALLOCATE SPACE IN
FILE SYSTEM", it seems that now is not compressing at the same rate because
the database dumps are the same. Do you know what can be happening here?

Thanks in advance,
