These are the notes I made after booting from a mksysb image on a DVD on a
p630. No guarantee our memories are correct, but this is it:

boot (reboot) machine

on "keyboard", press 1

choose boot device
  " service mode
  " device
  " type of device

list all avail devices

choose device from list

"yes" to leave menu
