Sorry, I forgot this...
AIX 5.2 does NOT require Powe4 processors, but it does not support alot
of earlier CPU's such as the PowerPC604e, Power1, and Power2, as well as
any MCA-bus systems.
Here's a link to that section in the AIX 5.2 announcement letter with a
listing of the CPU's and systems which will not be supported under 5.2
