I developed an in-house application which does this, generating
near-real-time graphs, updated in 5 minute intervals, via the net-snmp
package and a couple other free or GPL'ed tools. That's one option at
least.

I have been asked if I can provide a performance
monitoring tool that would measure & record hourly CPU
& memory usage. Ideally, the hourly stats would be an
average of resource usage for the previous hour. What
are my options, preferably without having to purchase
a product? Would the AIX Performance Toolbox provide
this service?
The systems in question are G40 & J50 running v4.3.2
and 4.3.3. Thanks.
