Subject: listening ports

I asked this question last week, but got no response...i'll try again.
How do I find out what process is listening on a given port? i've got
several ports on several aix boxes that are "open", but lsof doesn't
show any process owning it, no entry for it exists in inetd.conf. I
need to turn off those ports, but how?
