Re: Use JFS2 for ROOTVG ?

be careful with rootvg, there could be some compatibility issues if your
looking to restore a filesystem from another system like an hdX system
FS/LV. Unless there's a need for it's advantages.. I would stay with JFS
until JFS2 has been around for a while and implemented in more places. I
don't see a problem with using it on an Oracle only filesystem(s)/vg's or
something but for rootvg I'd stay with vanilla JFS...

Were trying to decide on a standrad for new AIX 5.2 servers - Should we set
up rootvg as JFS2 or JFS filesystems. I'm leaning towards JFS2 and I'm
wondering if anyone sees any disadvantages of using JFS2 for rootvg.

Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
