I know autonegotiate is not a good idea and always hard setting is better,
but autonegotiate should pick up the Gigabit port setting. You should be
able to verify off the lights in the back of the card.

What filesets do I have to install to support Gigabit
Ethernet?

Right now, the cards are set to "Autonegotiate" (and
they probably have been for a lont time). The network
guys tell me that the switch ports have been set to
1000/Full (gigabit).

But, I can't set the media_speed on the card to
1000_Full_Duplex; the only options are:

PdAt:
        uniquetype = "adapter/pci/14100401"
        attribute = "media_speed"
        deflt = "Auto_Negotiation"
        values =
"10_Half_Duplex,10_Full_Duplex,100_Half_Duplex,100_Full_Duplex,
Auto_Negotiation"
        width = ""
        type = "R"
        generic = "DU"
        rep = "sl"
        nls_index = 59

# lsdev -Cc adapter | grep ent
ent0 Available 40-58 Gigabit Ethernet-SX PCI
Adapter (14100401)
ent1 Available C0-60 Gigabit Ethernet-SX PCI
Adapter (14100401)

Ideas?

Thanks,

-pAG
