Configure Sendmail:
[snippet from /etc/sendmail.cf]
# my official domain name
# Use this only if you wish to override the default.
#Dj$w.$m
[end of snippet]
and/or edit /etc/resolv.conf adding to it your domain:
[snippet from /etc/resolv.conf]
domain my_fqdn
[end of snippet]
I presume editing /etc/resolv.conf would solve your problem...
These are my US$ 0.02, hth,
Marlon.

Hello,
I receive emails from several RS6000's from root@the_fqdn to my Outlook Account no problem. One of my RS6000's just says it is from "root root". It does not provide me with the usual root@the_fqdn (Fully Qualified Domain Name).
Any thoughts,
TIA.
