I have been searching all over the underground hacking community for how to
execute this sendmail exploit, and the best I've found is something posted
from lsd-pl.net - and that one doesn't work for AIX anyway. 2/3rds of my job
is white hat hacking, and I could sure use that exploit to break into some
AIX systems I've been tasked to break into here. There is talk from the
people who supposedly "discovered" this latest sendmail exploit, that the
exposure is being significantly over-dramatized. I need a working model for
Solaris, AIX, and Red Hat, but have yet to see one.

qmail and postfix are, should i say, the major alternatives to sendmail
i use qmail since more than 6 years on several servers, one of them acting
as a gateway for 2000+ users
qmail is dramatically reliable, stable, secure, simple to use...
there was (and still is, i think) a prize (1000 usd if i remember) to
whoever could find any security breach in its code, which has never been
claimed
its bare minimum configuration stands in one file of one line, but many
things can be configured afterwards.
many useful tools are available beside for various things (webmail, log
stats, webmin module, ...)
