Yes AIX 5L does run in 64 bit kernel mode, wether the applications need
tunning I'm not sure. I know with the TSM application you need the
*tivoli*server*64*rte fileset for that support.

My undestanding is that AIX 5 can be run in 32 bit or 64 bit kernal mode.
Is
this correct?

If run in 64 bit mode, do applications need to change in any way?
