I think you have done a diag test on this pdisk, if not I recommend you do
it to get a final error report.

Well,
I tried that.
Tried: smitty -> devices -> SSA RAID Arrays -> change/show use of an SSA
physical disk, and this gives me "there are no items of this type".
Also tried deleting the pdisk & re-running cfgmgr, and it just comes back
the same way.
I've sort of come to the conclusion that it can't be done easily.
