How does this work? Our support group (CE's) won't allow us to do the
upgrades. It's required of us to have them come out and do it. I'm more
than just a little confused here.

Just done one of these over the Holidays, it went very well. Talking to
our CE, a lot depends on what LIC you are currently on. Don't take any
notice of the support people, talk to your CE - they seem to know much more
about this. He/she will have a prereq document for the upgrade, get that
and you will be fine. from memory all we needed to do was upgrade the
fibre channel drivers on a couple of AIX hosts and put the latest SDD on a
2000 box.

Has anyone gone through a concurrent microcode upgrade of the ESS and could
advise for anything to look for.
Another related question, has anyone upgraded the microcode for the HBA F/C
6228.
