That will work however if this is something that is going to be done on a regular basis I prefer to create another script that will run both commands. It tends to be easier to debug and easier to debug.

I want to execute two scripts after I do su - oracle ,will semicolon work in this script ?

su - oracle "-c . /d01/app/oracle/mpower/bin/appenv db ameruat; /d01/app/oracle/mpower/bin/rc.db stop"
