I would suggest getting the IBM Atape equivalent for Win2000. Check out
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/ for documentation and
drivers.

Subject: IBM 7337 with Dual DLT7000 tape drives

Folks

We have upgraded our RS6000's to us LTO (3583 library) and the old 7337
is
being redeployed to Veritas Net Backup for Windows/NT servers
We are using an Adaptec 2944UW controler card and it seems to work OK
with
one exception. (windows 2000 server using the built in 2944uw driver
that
Microsoft supplies)

It will read the barcodes fine on one pass but the next it fails on some
(that it could read before)
I know there was an APAR to fix this for LTO's on AIX but I have not
been
able to find anything for DLT's.

The Windows guys are using the Microsoft DLT drivers, should they be
using
IBMTape

Any info or advise much appreciated.
