That is correct-
you can verify if 64bit emulation mode is running or not with:

        genkex | grep 64
       <pid> 2c0 /usr/lib/drivers/syscalls64.ext

If this kernel extension is listed, then the system is running the 64bit
emulation mode.

If I have a 32-BIT machine (F40) with AIX 4.3.3 installed, and bos.64bit

I can enable 64-bit *application* support, even though it is a 32-bit
machine?? right?
