lsattr *does* show the correct serial number. If it doesn't, then your ODM
is corrupt. Can you show an example of exactly what you're looking at?

SSA Link Verification just shows pdisk numbers, not hdisk. Are you running
lsattr for the same disk? Note that pdisk0 does NOT equate to hdisk0, since
hdisk0 (and maybe other low-numbered hdisks) will be the internal SCSI
disks.
