AIX 5.1 install problem

Hi,

I'm installing a brand new pSeries 6H1 and am having a bit of a problem
with it. I installed AIX 5.1.0 and the Atape drivers (the 6H1 is connected
to a 3584 LTO Silo) and everything seemed to be fine. I then tried to do
an update_all to upgrade the OS to ML2. This crashed halfway through with
a 888 display on the front of the server, (I cant remember this first set of
codes although it was 888 with a 700 in there somewhere but the set after
hitting reset were 888 102 605 0c5). As it was installing SCSI drivers
at the time of the crash the system would not boot again off its AIX install.
This also appeared to knacker the service mode boot list as this system
refused to boot off cd afterwards.

After some fiddling in the SMS menues we got the system booting off of CD, the
diags CD shows no faults so we are now reinstalling base 5.1.0.

Has anybody else had this sort of problem installing AIX 5.1? Any suggestions as
to what happened and why (we have used this copy of ML2 successfully on another
system)?

Regards

Tim
